Collaborate with the lead Plumbing Engineer and execute assignments and assume ownership as the plumbing designer or design engineer on a project.
Perform field verification tasks confirming as-built conditions and any code deficiencies.
Perform engineering calculations confirming load and service requirements based on Code and program requirements.
Prepare engineered plans either directly in CAD or with the assistance of a CAD draftsperson. Engineered plans consist of the following: schedules, site plan, single line diagrams, plumbing floor plans, fire protection plans, and details.
Assist in preparing project specifications in close coordination with the lead Plumbing Engineer.
Assist lead Plumbing Engineer in preparing Basis of Design and conceptual designs gathered from Client’s program requirements.
Review and approve equipment materials submittals in a timely manner.
Collaborate with installing contractors on constructability of the proposed design.
With oversea project experience is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Plumbing Engineering
Previous experience with a consulting engineering or Local Design Institutes as a Design Engineer or Designer in Commercial, Institutional, Healthcare, etc. projects. Experience working in a similar international consulting MEP engineering company a plus.
Over 3 years experience
Knowledge in Chinese local building and plumbing codes
Effective written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and in English.
Computer background: MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit a plus.
